Manufacturing warehouses are closely tied to production schedules. Raw materials, semi-finished goods, tools, packaging materials and finished products often move between storage areas, workshops and line-side stations several times a day. When these movements are handled only by workers or forklifts, it becomes harder to keep each material task clear and on time.

AMRs can deliver raw materials to production lines, move semi-finished goods between process areas, or return finished goods to storage. AGVs are suitable for heavier or more fixed transport routes. iWMS records storage locations, task status and inventory changes, so warehouse teams and production teams can work from the same data.

The automation plan is usually built around the factory’s actual workflow. Some plants may start with line-side delivery. Others may focus on finished goods transfer, workshop-to-workshop movement, or inventory tracking in a central warehouse. The system can be adjusted according to material size, route length, loading method, production rhythm and available floor space.
